NT - Installing Remote Access Service |

| Before you proceed with the setup,
make sure you have the original version of the Windows
NT Server Installation CD-ROM is with you and you
are logged in as an Administrator.
- Double click on the My Computer icon.
- Double click on the Control Panel icon.
- Double click on the Network icon.
- Click on the Services tab and then click
on the Add... button.
- The Network Service window opens. Select
Remote Access Service and click on the
OK button.
- The Remote Access Setup prompt opens.
Click on the Yes button to proceed.
- The Add RAS Device window opens. Click
on the small 'down-arrow' to select on the correct
Modem Drive in the RAS Capable Services.
- Click on the OK button to continue.
- The Remote Access Setup window opens
and displays the device that you just added.
- Highlight the device and click on the Configure...
button to proceed.
- Under the item Port Usage, select Dial
out only and click on the OK button.
- You will be brought back to the Remote Access
Setup window.
- Click on the Continue button.
- You will then be brought back to the Network
window.
- Click on the OK button to complete the
installation.
- Windows will then prompt you to insert your
installation CD-ROM and a PC restart. Just follow
the instructions given by the CD-ROM.

| Before you proceed with the setup,
make sure you have the original version of the Windows
NT Server installation CD-ROMs with you and you
are logged in as an Administrator.
- Double click on the My Computer icon.
- Double click on the Control Panel icon.
- Double click on the Network icon.
- The Networks window opens. Click on the
Protocols tab and click on the Add...
button.
- The Select Network Protocol window opens.
Select TCP/IP Protocol click on the Add...
button.
- You will be brought back to the Network
window, however, you will see that the TCP/IP
Protocol is now listed.
- Click on the Close button.

- Double click on the My Computer icon.
- Double click on the Dial-Up Networking
icon.

- If you are running Dial-Up Networking
for the fist time, you will be prompted that your
phonebook is empty. Click the OK button
to continue.

- Type in WebcomUS Communications in the
entry box "Name the new phonebook entry".

- Select the option "I am calling in the Internet"
and click on the Next > button.

- In the Phone number entry box, enter
your WebcomUS Communications dial-up number.
- Click on the Next button.

- Click on the Finish button to complete
the setup.

- Double click on the My Computer icon.
- Double click on the Dial-Up Networking
icon.

- Click on the Dial button to connect.
- The Connect to Dial Up window opens.

Once the server verifies your account, you
will be connected.
- To see the details of your connection, open
up the Dial-Up Networking Monitor window.
- Once you finish using your Dial Up connection
and wish to end your session, click on the Hang
up button to disconnect the connection.

| Before you proceed with the setup,
make sure you have the original version of Windows
ME Installation CD-ROM with you.
- Go to your Windows taskbar and click on Start
> Settings > Control Panel
- The Control Panel window opens. Double
click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- When the Add/Remove Programs Properties
window opens, click on Windows Setup tab.
- Highlight the Communications item and
click on the Details... button.
- The Communications window opens. Check
the Dial-Up Networking option. Make sure
that the box besides it is checked.
- Click on the OK button.
- Click on Apply and then on the OK
button.
- Windows ME will then prompt you to insert your
Windows Me CD-ROM. Please follow the instructions
given on the screen to complete the installation.

| Before you proceed with the setup,
make sure you have the original version of Windows
Installation CD-ROM with you.
- Go to your Windows Desktop and click on Start
> Settings > Dial-Up Networking.
- The Dial-Up Networking window opens.
Double click on the Make New Connection
icon.
- The Make New Connection window opens.
- Enter WebcomUS Communications in the entry box
and click on the Next > button to continue.
- In the Telephone number entry box, enter
your dial-up number. You can look up a dial up
number in your area here.
- In the Country Code item, click on the
down arrow and select United States() from the
list.
- Click on the Next > button to continue.
- Click on the Finish button to complete
the setup.
- You will be brought back to the Dial-Up Networking
window, there should be one additional icon named
WebcomUS Communications in the folder.

- Go to your Windows Desktop and click on Start
> Settings > Dial-Up Networking.

- The Dial-Up Networking window opens. You will
see the WebcomUS Communications icon.
- Double click on the WebcomUS Communications
icon.
- The Connect To window opens. As you can
see there are five entry items on this window.
- WebcomUS Communications: Dialer/Account
that you are using to connect
- Username: Enter your WebcomUS Communications
UserID here
- Password: Enter your WebcomUS Communications
Password here
(Password is case-sensitive and should be
comprised of alpha-numeric characters.)
- Phone Number: Enter your WebcomUS Communications
local access number
- Dialing From: Leave this as default.
- Click on the Connect button to connect
to WebcomUS Communications.
- The Connecting to WebcomUS Communications
window opens. Your modem will start dialing out.
- Once you are connected to the server, the Status:
will change to Verifying username and password.
- Once the server has verified your username and
password, you can start browsing the Internet.
- There will be an icon on your taskbar resembling
two computers connected together.
- Double-clicking on this icon will open this
window which shows your connection details.

- To end your Internet session, click on the Disconnect
button.

- On your Windows desktop, double click on the
My Computer icon.
- The My Computer window opens. Double
click on the Control Panel icon.
- The Control Panel window appears. Double
click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.

- The Dial-Up Networking window opens. You will
see the WebcomUS Communications icon.
- Double click on the WebcomUS Communications
icon.
- The Connect To window opens. As you can
see there are four entry items on this window.
Username: Enter your WebcomUS Communications
UserID here
Password: Enter your WebcomUS Communications
Password here
(Password is case-sensitive and should be comprised
of alpha-numeric characters.)
Phone Number: Enter your WebcomUS Communications
local access number

- Click on the Connect button to connect
to WebcomUS Communications.
- The Connecting to WebcomUS Communications
window opens. Your modem will start dialing out.
Once you are connected to the server, the Status:

- You will be able to see that there is an additional

| Before you proceed
with the setup, make sure you have the original
versions of the Windows installation CD-ROMs with
you.
- Go to your Windows taskbar and click on Start
> Settings > Control Panel
- The Control Panel window opens. Double
click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- When the Add/Remove Programs Properties
window opens, click on Windows Setup tab.
- Highlight the Communications item and
click on the Details... button.
- The Communications window opens. Check
the Dial-Up Networking option. Make sure
that the box beside it is checked.
- Click on the OK button.
- Windows will then prompt you to insert your
installation CD-ROM. Please follow the instructions
to complete the installation.
